You don't need ten steps. A good routine starts with three essentials and grows slowly.
The three essentials
- Cleanser — gentle, non-stripping.
- Moisturiser — supports your barrier.
- Sunscreen (AM) — the single most effective anti-aging and anti-pigment product there is.
If you do nothing else, do these. Everything else is optional.
Add one active at a time
Once the basics are habit, add a treatment matched to your main concern:
- Acne → salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, or a retinoid
- Dark spots → vitamin C, azelaic acid, niacinamide
- Aging / texture → a retinoid
- Redness → azelaic acid, niacinamide
Introduce one new active every couple of weeks so you can tell what's working — and what's irritating.
Let it check itself
